Started in 1990, Trekforce is one of the original names in the gap year and career break business. Trekforce’s history was developed by the late great Wandy Swales, who had the vision that there was an expedition in everyone, ones that combine rewarding volunteer projects, conservation, aiding local communities and exploring remote regions with the spirit of adventure.
Trekforce has been in operation for over 2 decades. In the past 20 years, we have delivered some of the most extreme, worthwhile and challenging jungle expeditions and volunteer projects in the world. All are
delivered by the most experienced and safety-oriented staff in the business.
Trekforce now enters a new era of expeditions, leadership and teaching placements, continuing to contribute in a practical way to conservation and exploration. Volunteers learn that with correct training, anything is possible as they are typically the first to enter these remote parts of the world. The Trekforce projects can be a life changing experience that can also open up new career opportunities. Great for a gap year or a career break.
