Paul Martin, Operations ManagerPaul Martin, Operations Manager
French Foreign Legion, 3 years leading expeditions in Africa, some further time in the British Army, setting up a Marine Research Station in the Bahamas, Guinness Book of Records for the fastest Marathon run with indigenous Maasai and also many years as an engineer, I bring a variety of skills to my role overseeing the operations and field staff within Trekforce! It also helps that I have done the field, first our traditional Gap expedition in Belize, while the latest was with a film crew in Morocco. So if something needs sorting in the field, it ends up on my desk!

He co-founded Wilderness Medical Training in 1991 and runs courses for doctors on expedition medicine in Chamonix and Morocco.

Nadia Daer, Trekker AdvisorNadia Daer, Trekker Advisor
It all started when I heard about Trekforce and their Amazon expedition. So despite finishing my degree at Leeds Uni, it was the amazing time I had with Trekforce as a Trekker out in South America that pulled me back. Having been a Trekker myself I know how difficult it is to select which one to go on. But give me a call I and I promise to give you the low down on all the locations and not just the Amazon!

Ed Swales, Senior Expedition LeaderEd Swales, Senior Expedition Leader
I have over 9 years Army experience in N. Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Kenya and Jamaica and I am also trained as a British Military Parachutist. I have also been a security consultant for 6 years in the Former Yugoslavia, Algeria, Indonesia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the UK.

I am very keen on challenging travel to remote locations, and with my school friend Bruce Parry we have explored many exciting locations and cultures. I now provide overall expedition advice and work on some of Trekforces special overseas projects.

Ed Stafford, Expedition LeaderEd Stafford, Expedition Leader
Ed, from Leicestershire, started running expeditions after retiring from the British Army as a Captain in 2002. He has led several expeditions to Patagonia and Borneo, and in 2007 was the Trekforce Country Director in Belize. He has also worked alongside the United Nations in Afghanistan assisting with the presidential elections advising on security, planning and logistics.
