Sign up for 2 weeks to 5 months of extreme rainforest expedition! You’ll get expert jungle survival training before completing a vital rainforest conservation project, searching for lost Mayan ruins and caves, learning Spanish in Guatemala, making friends for life working in rural communities and then diving the world’s 2nd longest barrier reef!

Belize Jungle Training
You’ll be ready for anything the jungle can throw at you after your survival skills instructors have whipped you into shape! Oppressive heat, raging rivers, troupes of armed monkeys and never ending porridge will be nothing to you as you are trained by the best to live and operate safely in the depths of the jungle.
Expedition
You’ll join the hallowed ranks of Trekforce Belize volunteers who have worked to ensure the future protection of one of the world’s most precious rainforests. Your project will assist the Belize Forestry Department and the Government's Archaeological Institute as well as the communities living in these remote and threatened locations. Past projects have included constructing watchtowers for park wardens, excavating caves of ancient and important Mayan artefacts, cutting trails to assist wardens in their fight against poachers and developing education programs for rural schools.
Trek
Then, to reward you for your hard work (and to REALLY test your survival skills!) you’ll head off on a 5-10 day trek into the unexplored Belizean jungle…
And a jolly country romp this ain’t! There’ll be treacherous mountains to climb, wild rivers to cross and impenetrable jungle to…penetrate. But when you emerge, muddy and wet, from the depths of a crumbling cave, clutching a coin of Mayan gold, the last vestige of a long lost Kingdom of rulers, you’ll know that it was worth it!
Spanish In Guatemala
Survivors of the Trek will then head into Guatemala for a month of Spanish lessons. Here your group will be taken care of by host families and will get to know Central America outside of the rainforest. This time will also prepare you for teaching in rural schools back in Belize.
Teaching
Already unrecognisable from the pale and timid English speaking tourist you once were, your teaching phase will complete your transformation into super-volunteer. You’ll hone your Spanish language, interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as get the chance to make a lasting difference to the local children’s education. You’ll live and work in the community and will get to organise educational day trips, help children with their school work and improve the facilities for future classes.
Dive Party
Could you travel to the home of the world’s second longest and most incredible barrier reef and not visit it? Of course not. Thats why we end your expedition with a few relaxing days on the stunning Cays where you can snorkel or even try an introduction Scuba dive with PADI’s Discover Scuba course. An un-missable and well deserved end to your expedition!
